Product Support Analyst – Mobile Enterprise GPS Location Services
Title: Product Support Analyst
Experience: 2 years+
Job Location: Bangalore, India
We are looking for a new team member in a Software Engineering -Product Technical Analyst role. We are seeking a Software Engineer who is up for the challenges and ready to provide top quality technical review of our applications that cater to our Mobile On-Demand Enterprise Software Solutions.
You will be able to enjoy office hours that avoid the daily traffic that tends to slow our lives down. 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday to Friday
The candidate should have experience in identifying and analyzing application product defects. This position works very closely with both Engineering and Level 2 Support. This position reports directly to the Manager- Technical Support.
Qualifications and Experience
- BE/BCA/BSC (Computer Science or Telecommunication or similar) from a reputed university with good academic record
- The candidate should have extensive experience in examining, investigating and solving dynamic software problems.
- Proven ability to meet designated deadlines and professional business practices and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and investigation.
- Good interpersonal communications combined with diplomacy in coordinating defect resolutions
Knowledge and Technical Skills (Mandatory) Requirements
- Hands on Experience in using Java, J2EE and Oracle applications
- Experience and understanding Application performance measurement and tuning and database access.
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
- Working knowledge of JDBC, SQL, and RDBMS
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and help resolve product related to XORA Mobile Enterprise Applications.
- Troubleshoot, test, & debug software applications.
- Coordinate strategic testing activities with engineering teams for patches and build releases.
- Document activities such as specific test, problem, or solution descriptions and contribute to Xora's knowledge base and FAQ.
- Create Knowledge Base Articles / Technical Notes
- Work with customers & third party vendors to integrate applications to suite customers' business requirements
- Monitoring the application manually & look at error log files to analyze issues further
- Recognize and escalate difficult technical issues to IT operations, and Engineering Department
- Liaison between engineering, and technical support operations
Additional Requirements
- Experience in wireless industry in supporting server side technologies is a big plus
- Experience in understanding Networking Protocols, Mobile Communications is a plus
- Good to have C/C++ development experience.
- Working experience with Global cross-functional support Teams
